u know what....

Pre-school hunting is FUN! hehe.

Have been doing this for the past few weeks, on the net and also by driving around Shah Alam. ngehehe.

No intention to send iyaadh to any long hours pre-school programs yet. Cuma survey2 saje so that me & hubby can start doing our budget planning and what not.

Kriteria2 kindergarten yg saya idamkan adalah seperti berikut :

1) English-Islamic Integrated, which includes qiraati, simple hafazan, fardhu ain (theory & practical). Having Bhs Arab, and other extra co-curriculum like swimming, leadership activities, etc etc adalah bonus.

2) Preferably, tadika tu beroperasi in a premise yg spacious and ada laman luar for the kids to explore both world - indoor & outdoor. To be frank, saya sebenarnye agak skeptikal ttg kebaikan tadika yang beroperasi di bangunan shoplots kerana :
  • dari segi kesihatan - kanak2 lebih lama dalam keadaan ber-aircond dan terkurung dalam bangunan, dan akan lebih teruk kalau ada kanak2 lain yg sakit/demam/selsema etc
  • kurang peluang utk mengeksplorasi keadaan alam sekitar di luar kelas / kurang ciri2 adventourous
  • dari segi keselamatan, since it's situated in a busy area - kedai2 and banyak strangers.
  • kanak2 juga mungkin akan agak spoil bila terbiasa dgn keadaan yg terlalu selesa (aircond/peralatan belajar yg cantik & nampak mewah). Mungkin akan ada sedikit culture-shock bile masuk sekolah rendah, unless if the parents can afford to send them to any private/international school.

Apapun, mungkin sangkaan saya kurang tepat, and because of this, I'll still include those pre-schools yg beroperasi di shoplots into my list :)

3) Safe facilities & healthy-halal foods

5) Teacher's personality, personal touch and knowledge/skills

4) Affordable fees, of course

and few other criterias - that i couldn't find the suitable words to describe it here.

and if you notice - i don't put 'jarak-lokasi-tadika-dari-rumah' into my criteria. Sebabnya, I don't mind to drive extra miles (as long as masih dalam lingkungan kewarasan fikiran) in getting the best education for my kids.

After all, I used to send and pick up my younger sisters to their school in Klang & KL before. *but...but...now, i think KL sudah terkeluar dari lingkungan kewarasan ;p*

anyway, I have shortlisted some of the pre-schools available in Shah Alam that might meet these criteria :-

Have not done the survey in details yet and there are still a lot checking and research need to be done. One of it - is to visit tadika2 ni one by one. definitely will enjoy the activity! =D

For the time being, maybe i'll just send Iyaadh for a once-a-week-playschool program (considering Alimkids for now - maaf lissa, selayang jauh sgt, kalo x sy hantar iyaadh kat centre kamu je :P) and basic mengaji/reading classes (CIC does have this mengaji clasess for 3 y.o kids!)

iyaadh ada byk pilihan, tak cam indah! cayok2, yah, dulu2 pun aku fikir cam ko jugak, shoplot is not good. tapi, sangkaan ku meleset. since dorang tau dorang shoplot, so interm of hygine n security, kadang2 lebih bagus dari kindi kat rumah2 ni.

haha, alimkids mana2 pun takpe... its good for transition to kindie!
